Why was the UK Business Centre Lille created?
The UK Business Centre Lille was launched as a response to the ongoing challenges British companies are confronted with to access European markets, in terms of border controls, customs, tax, additional costs or administrative procedures.
The aim of the UK Business Centre Lille is to bring together both public and private organisations from the Hauts-de-France to help British companies set up and operate successfully in Europe.
So our motto is quite simply: “All you need is Lille!” (and of course the rest of our great region).

The UK Business Centre Lille is supported by the UK Department for Business and Trade which is part of the British government. It aims to support British companies’ development to create jobs and opportunities.
« The Department for Business and Trade’s focus is to deliver economic growth for the UK, and does this by helping businesses to grow, export, invest and create jobs. In France, we help UK companies thrive by identifying export opportunities and advice on how to export or tackle market access barriers. DBT France works with partners across France whose objectives align with ours to provide a coherent, joined-up service offer for UK companies. The UK Business Centre Lille is one of these initiatives. »
